I have reviewed, and tried, many diets and most of them have their good points. What is so effective about Cura Romana is that you lose weight, feel good and maintain the weight loss. It is not a quick fix but a new attitude and approach to eating and certainly I achieved my goal weight on the plan, something I have not managed to do before. Cura Romana has brought me not only my newly discovered body shape which I had not seen for a long time (even prior to having children), it has improved my relationship with myself and my eating habits which, although healthy, had always been rather controlled yet chaotic. Before beginning Cura Romana I felt excited but at the same time a little anxious that it might not succeed for me. I was very motivated, however, especially when I witnessed such a marked weightloss. Sometimes I felt a little hungry but I allowed myself a large apple and orange and really savored them. My weightloss continued to make me feel elated. This brought with it a sense of confidence, satisfaction and anticipation of even better things to come in my life. I felt a great sense of calmness and a desire to slow down and spend more time by myself. Physically it was a joy to feel lighter and more flexible and to have clothes feeling lose.

I did Cura Romana about 10 years ago to great effect. I lost more than enough weight and it cured my sugar cravings - I think it is the healthiest wholistic weight loss program in the world!

I completed the diet under the Kenton's supervision about 20 months ago. After cortisone treatment for asthma about ten years ago, I gained some 30 pounds, and despite various diets was unable to lose the last fifteeen. With Cura Romana I shed those persistent pounds effortlessly. More importantly, I have kept them off without being 'on a diet'. My body has truly and remarkably changed to the extent that food cravings are gone and I eat healthy foods in smaller amounts, because that satisfies my appetite, and that is what I now enjoy. The daily reporting, the comments, encouragement and answers to any questions I had were not only motivational but also allowed me to understand more deeply the feedback my body was giving me. On the program my skin was great. I had no adverse reactions except some initial tiredness. The hunger was never really an issue. My flow of physical energy was very good throughout. It was a time when I needed to work 13 hours a day with lots of physical work and I was fine. Occasionally I was hungry in a desiring way, but not as a sensation of lack of food. Emotionally I became very clear, not emotionally reactive, and I had an enhanced, clear perception of what my feelings were. Spiritually, because I had less to deal with physically and emotionally, I experienced a greater involvement in and gratitude for the present moment.

This is one of the best treatments for obesity that I have come across in my life of 30 years of trying to lose weight, and it is the first time I have lost weight of such a significant amount - 20lbs - and without feeling hungry, tired or ratty. It took me a week before I started to relax into the plan and trust it. It was a very intense experience for me physically and emotionally.
