The most important gift I took away from Cura Romana is the knowledge that I am valuable and deserve the very best care for my whole person. I feel better about me, more confident. I know that I am okay, that I can be successful and whatever challenge I am faced with I am more in tune with the needs of my whole self, from what foods to avoid to my need for 'me' time.

For a long time I have felt a separation between mind and body. I felt that my body didn't work properly, I tried to eat healthily and lead a healthy lifestyle but something kept letting me down. It's been a long search for me to find the key. Over the years I've tried many diets. I've eaten high protein, been on a vegetarian and a vegan diet, I've fasted, I've eaten raw foods, organic foods, juice, and sprouted, I've done yoga and pilates, joined a gym. I've tried various complementary therapies - herbalism, acupuncture, chiropractic, educational kinesiology, aromatherapy and reflexology. Nothing has helped to reduce my weight permanently. With Cura Romana everything is different. I know I have found the key. This is not a quick fix "lose a stone a month" only to put a stone and a half back on next month. I no longer feel separation between mind and body. I feel re-connected and integrated with mind, body and spirit working in harmony. I'm amazed at the changes in myself. Food is now fuel for my body, I no longer crave sweet and starchy foods, in fact, I feel quite indifferent to them. I'm no longer driven by my cravings, and this has not taken one ounce of willpower. It has just happened naturally like a flower blossoming.

I completed the diet under the Kenton's supervision about 20 months ago. After cortisone treatment for asthma about ten years ago, I gained some 30 pounds, and despite various diets was unable to lose the last fifteeen. With Cura Romana I shed those persistent pounds effortlessly. More importantly, I have kept them off without being 'on a diet'. My body has truly and remarkably changed to the extent that food cravings are gone and I eat healthy foods in smaller amounts, because that satisfies my appetite, and that is what I now enjoy. In the past, I suffered fibromyalgia and other aches and pains. These are all gone. My system is so sensitized, that when I eat something not good for me I get immediate symptoms. This makes it easy to recognize and avoid such foods, not because I'm on a diet but because I know they don't agree with me. My digestive problems are also past history. I have not only lost weight, but I lost inches in precisely the places where they were unattractive. For the first time in my life I don't shrink from seeing myself in a mirror. The positive side effects of this diet were sufficiently profound, that I would agree with the reviewer who called it transformational. I am firmly convinced that the Kenton's guidance throughout the entire process was critical to the results I achieved. The daily reporting, the comments, encouragement and answers to any questions I had were not only motivational but also allowed me to understand more deeply the feedback my body was giving me. I cannot recommend more highly taking advantage of the mentorship.

I am grateful to Leslie and Aaron for this program. It has taught me to slow down and love my body right where I am today. It has taught me that goals and focus are great, but it's important that we enjoy the process. It has taught me that food is to be enjoyed. I know how to shift any further weight that I wish to lose. As someone who has tried many diets over the years with varying degrees of success, I found the Cura Romana Journey very different from all of them. This time I lost the cravings and addictive eating behavior and they have never returned. Before beginning Cura Romana I felt excited but at the same time a little anxious that it might not succeed for me. I was very motivated, however, especially when I witnessed such a marked weightloss. Sometimes I felt a little hungry but I allowed myself a large apple and orange and really savored them. My weightloss continued to make me feel elated. This brought with it a sense of confidence, satisfaction and anticipation of even better things to come in my life. I felt a great sense of calmness and a desire to slow down and spend more time by myself. Physically it was a joy to feel lighter and more flexible and to have clothes feeling lose.

I am writing this from the viewpoint of an individual who has done the program twice. In my case it was a success as I lost 14 kilos the first time and a further 9 kilos the second time. My weight reduced from over 108 kilos to a more modest 85 making a total of 23 kilos lost. I am a qualified homeopath and it is for this reason that I decided to use the plan. For myself there is no doubt that this diet is effective and that the Essential Spray is safe. Doing the diet is a commitment because it is restrictive and sometimes feels that way but it is very rewarding to see the sustained downward momentum on the weighing scales every morning. The plan is not just a weight loss exercise but also seems to stimulate other areas of life including increased mental clarity and greater emotional sensitivity, both of which are useful for anyone re-evaluating their life style and wishing to initiate changes. This is the first book I have reviewed and probably will be the last one. Your body goes through a significant amount of change in the first few days. I had a slight feeling of fuzziness, a bit like jet lag, in those first couple of days. I had no headaches which may be because I cut back on coffee and eliminated alcohol about a week before I started. After the first week I had heaps of energy and was really relaxed and focused. I became very calm, clear-thinking and happy with my life.

I have read this book and followed the Cura Romana Weight Loss Plan twice now, and I would highly recommend both. The program outlined in this book enables the body to burn off stored fat at an amazingly fast rate (on average a half pound a day for women and one pound a day for men.) More than that, however, it takes you on a journey of personal growth where you come to appreciate your body - dare I say like it? - and discover who you are at a deeper level. I'm in my mid 40s, and it helped me lose those stubborn extra 10 pounds and feel about 20 years younger. Aches and pains gone, skin radiant, energy levels soaring. I encourage anyone who has struggled with hopelessness around excess weight to pick up this book and discover the indescribable transformation that it can bring.

I've learned so much on my Cura Romana Journey - mainly that how I eat has a major effect on my mood, energy levels, creativity and joy. I see now that it's always my decision and if I want to eat or drink something I do it in the clear knowledge that it will diminish my sense of wellbeing temporarily, and sometimes it might be worth it
