The book is very thorough and there is a great website to follow and keep up to date with recipes and products. I love her inspiration and she gives hope to fat middle aged woman who have had to choose between face and body! This diet stops any of the normal sagging and wrinkles from weight loss! Cura Romana has brought me not only my newly discovered body shape which I had not seen for a long time (even prior to having children), it has improved my relationship with myself and my eating habits which, although healthy, had always been rather controlled yet chaotic. The first three days on the Essential Spray + Food Plan were the most challenging for me with all sorts of things happening - a headache, dizziness at one stage but nothing serious. Then everything just settled down. I quickly began to notice an increased alertness. My sleep became much better and I awakened feeling more rested. I had better overall energy. By the second week I was feeling really good about the process. I was losing weight, not struggling at all with the food plan, and I was highly motivated to stick to the plan in a way I have never felt before. Emotionally I felt buoyant throughout the whole program. Physically I got better and better all the time. Spiritually I had some real 'ah has' around clarity of thought, my life direction, going into the stillness, and feeling much better aligned on my spiritual path.

I've been deliberately testing myself with some of the food items I used to really enjoy before undertaking Cura Roman, e.g. cheese scone, carrot cake, an occasional biscuit, 5-seed bread to name a few. I am over the moon to report that they no longer have any appeal whatsoever. I am no longer a "bread junky". After I tried the bread (which is the type of dense, real bread, full of seed that I used to really love and was convinced I would still enjoy), I threw the rest of the loaf out for the birds. And I had a bite of biscuit and threw the rest of them in the bin. It's almost unheard of for me to throw food out - 'think of the starving in Africa' is what I had drilled into me in childhood. My Cura Romana Journey really has changed my relationship to food forever and I am so happy. Also I am unable to eat the quantities that I used to eat. I am satisfied and full on a lot less. Another victory!

For me, Cura Romana is a profound transformation. She doesn't pretend to be a physician or a guru, but a fearlessly investigative journalist who needs help herself, so she explores the best options for health and weightloss and then writes a book about it for the rest of us. In "Cura Romana" she has found an amazing tool in the work of Dr Arthur Simeons who after many years of clinical research decided that the tendency to obesity was the product of a faulty system rather than just the result of gluttony, and worked out a program to cure it. What Leslie has done is synthesize this method, expand and bring it up to date, and, most importantly, hone the method for keeping the weight off for life. (Always the depressing issue for those of us who have yo-yo dieted for most of their adult lives.) I think this book is brilliant. The system works on everyone - me, in my 60s, now wearing size 14 jeans for the first time in 30 years, (gosh its great not to have to describe myself as a fat person anymore!) my husband, who was highly skeptical - a friend in our village who lost 2 stone in 42 days and looks wonderful, and her 30 year old son who did the same thing. Leslie Kenton's Cura Romana is much more than a diet book - it's a genuine tool for personal transformation. I'm only sorry her publisher puts a quote about it being a "craze" - it's far more important and profound than that. PS. How I wish it had been available 30 years ago!

This is one of the best treatments for obesity that I have come across in my life of 30 years of trying to lose weight, and it is the first time I have lost weight of such a significant amount - 20lbs - and without feeling hungry, tired or ratty. It has given me so much energy, and I lost weight in all the right places i.e., the inessential fat and not the essential fat, and it is permanent - on other diets, one loses essential fat and feels absolutely exhausted and it is not permanent. For me personally, it wasn't just about losing weight, but a transformation and personal growth - I learned to honor my body and respect it and not fill it with rubbish - after all would one put diesel in a Rolls Royce? Then why do we put such rubbish into our amazing and beautiful bodies? I would highly recommend it to anyone, and it is not just a diet but a treatment for obesity, that is so prevalent in our society today - this needs to be put on the NHS - it is a truly wonderful treatment and it works... without any crazy eating fads... just straight forward healthy eating. This works really well alongside Leslie & Aaron's excellent mentoring via the audios every day, if you want to lose weight, get healthy, and want to be full of energy and joie de vivre, then do this weightloss plan, you are in very safe hands. I am writing this from the viewpoint of an individual who has done the program twice. In my case it was a success as I lost 14 kilos the first time and a further 9 kilos the second time. My weight reduced from over 108 kilos to a more modest 85 making a total of 23 kilos lost. I am a qualified homeopath and it is for this reason that I decided to use the plan. For myself there is no doubt that this diet is effective and that the Essential Spray is safe. Doing the diet is a commitment because it is restrictive and sometimes feels that way but it is very rewarding to see the sustained downward momentum on the weighing scales every morning. Your body goes through a significant amount of change in the first few days. I had a slight feeling of fuzziness, a bit like jet lag, in those first couple of days. I had no headaches which may be because I cut back on coffee and eliminated alcohol about a week before I started. After the first week I had heaps of energy and was really relaxed and focused. I became very calm, clear-thinking and happy with my life.
