I have read this book and followed the Cura Romana Weight Loss Plan twice now, and I would highly recommend both. The program outlined in this book enables the body to burn off stored fat at an amazingly fast rate (on average a half pound a day for women and one pound a day for men.) More than that, however, it takes you on a journey of personal growth where you come to appreciate your body - dare I say like it? - and discover who you are at a deeper level. I'm in my mid 40s, and it helped me lose those stubborn extra 10 pounds and feel about 20 years younger. Aches and pains gone, skin radiant, energy levels soaring. I encourage anyone who has struggled with hopelessness around excess weight to pick up this book and discover the indescribable transformation that it can bring.

I feel that Cura Romana is the start of the best chapter of my life so far. It has helped me come into the moment and launched me towards more fun, fitness, prosperity and love. Before beginning Cura Romana I was worried about fatigue, nausea, gauntness and my work, but I was excited about the prospect of realizing expanded beauty and vitality. The first couple of days I had an intermittent headache as my body was detoxing. I was hungry at times but able to move onwards very quickly and the hunger disappeared. After a week I realized that the program was completely transforming me on many levels. I felt confident with the program being absolutely right for me. I was emotionally calm, more tolerant of others and expanded spiritually already. In the end I lost 30 pounds and was absolutely delighted.

I have also completed the program under Leslie's & Aaron's supervision and if you follow the methodology correctly it's a painless and effective way of losing weight in all the right places. At the same time I gained energy, a new understanding of what foods are right for me and what aren't, and a new appreciation of my body! I just could not get over the clarity that I experienced on Cura Romana. I am not sure that I have ever felt that in my entire adult life. I took to getting rid of every piece of clutter and junk I had been holding on to. It was like I couldn't let go and now it's a clean slate, a new chapter in my life, emotionally as well as physically and I am never going back. I am happier than I have been for years. the first time I went on it I lost 9 kilos as I was quite overweight after a second child at 40. I have managed to keep my weight within reasonable levels since. The Cura Romana Journey is an absolutely wonderful program which enabled me to move out of my comfort zone and achieve seemingly miraculous results with ease and support. It's helped me face my fears and learn to get on with life as a pleasure.

For me, the Cura Romana Journey was what I had been waiting for for a long time. It was the answer to a question I had put out in the universe and it was answered fully. Leslie Kenton is a writer I trust - I have been inspired by her books for more than 20 years now. She explains quite touchingly that she has had issues around her weight since medical procedures in her teens left her with a faulty metabolism. She doesn't pretend to be a physician or a guru, but a fearlessly investigative journalist who needs help herself, so she explores the best options for health and weightloss and then writes a book about it for the rest of us. In "Cura Romana" she has found an amazing tool in the work of Dr Arthur Simeons who after many years of clinical research decided that the tendency to obesity was the product of a faulty system rather than just the result of gluttony, and worked out a program to cure it. What Leslie has done is synthesize this method, expand and bring it up to date, and, most importantly, hone the method for keeping the weight off for life. (Always the depressing issue for those of us who have yo-yo dieted for most of their adult lives.) I think this book is brilliant. The system works on everyone - me, in my 60s, now wearing size 14 jeans for the first time in 30 years, (gosh its great not to have to describe myself as a fat person anymore!) my husband, who was highly skeptical - a friend in our village who lost 2 stone in 42 days and looks wonderful, and her 30 year old son who did the same thing. Leslie Kenton's Cura Romana is much more than a diet book - it's a genuine tool for personal transformation. I'm only sorry her publisher puts a quote about it being a "craze" - it's far more important and profound than that. PS. How I wish it had been available 30 years ago!

Before doing Cura Romana I thought I was doing everything right with my diet and exercise program. However, I was still gaining weight. I know now that I was 'way off the mark'. Only with Cura Romana was I successful in reducing my weight. However, Cura Romana offers so much more than weightloss. As with most things in life you need to have a good coach like Leslie & Aaron alongside of you to get the best results.

I've learned so much on my Cura Romana Journey - mainly that how I eat has a major effect on my mood, energy levels, creativity and joy. Cura Romana is like no other program I've ever encountered. I had severely high blood pressure problems with doctors telling me I would have to be on medication for life, otherwise face the high possibility of a heart attack or stroke. After trying numerous other programs Leslie Kenton's Cura Romana was the only course/program that worked for me. Cura Romana has now become a way of life for me. I consider this experience to be one of my life's greatest gifts.
