The instant I heard of Cura Romana I knew this was for me. It was the food program I had been waiting for. Cura Romana is not just another diet and weightloss program. So first off - I have to say I haven't read this book. BUT I HAVE DONE THE PROGRAM! Last year I successfully did the plan under Leslie & Aaron's supervision. Leslie is a woman of the utmost integrity. The plan is much more than weight loss and it is the depth and breadth of Leslie's understanding of the areas of health, well-being and spirituality which made this plan of greater value than buying a remedy off the shelf. The plan works in a way which has to be seen to be believed - if you want to experience it, even better! Having completed the program in September I am now more in tune with my physical health than I have been for decades. I personally wouldn't have undertaken such a significant program without being coached through the process and I'm incredibly grateful to Leslie and Aaron for the superb program and support. Vitally this program is a re-education and could revolutionize the whole weightloss industry. It does require self-responsibility, but if you're up to the task you will have a renewed relationship with your body and yourself.

It is impossible to say just how impactful Cura Romana can be on your life. It is utterly amazing how simple, effective and calming Cura Romana is. I am just coming to the end of my second Cura Romana journey and I'm 50 pounds lighter and healthier and more vital in every way. It's the only diet that works at a deep enough level to be truly sustainable. It gives you the chance to take full control of your health and food choices. In short, Cura Romana can set you free!

The most important gift I took away from Cura Romana is the knowledge that I am valuable and deserve the very best care for my whole person. I feel better about me, more confident. I know that I am okay, that I can be successful and whatever challenge I am faced with I am more in tune with the needs of my whole self, from what foods to avoid to my need for 'me' time.

Cura Romana has brought me not only my newly discovered body shape which I had not seen for a long time (even prior to having children), it has improved my relationship with myself and my eating habits which, although healthy, had always been rather controlled yet chaotic. Cura Romana has provided much more than I initially expected. At first I thought this looked like just a weightloss program. I needed to lose weight I could not budge. Cura Romana starts changing your life in momentous ways. It doesn't seem to matter if you are focused on the changes or not, they just roll ahead anyway. Apart from the obvious delight of the new, slim me, I feel myself deeply changed. For instance, in the areas of my life where I've been submissive, I've become assertive, without making a conscious choice about it. Putting myself first when it matters seems now to be my default. This alone is a marvelous development for me.

I have recently finished Cura Romana under the supervision of Aaron & Leslie. This diet is different from others I have tried. Their constant support, together with the Essential Spray, have helped me to lose 10 kilos in 3 weeks. During the diet I was full of energy and their monitoring gave me lots of encouragement. The program is very easy to follow and I would recommend it to anyone.

I feel that Cura Romana is the start of the best chapter of my life so far. It has helped me come into the moment and launched me towards more fun, fitness, prosperity and love. I have reviewed, and tried, many diets and most of them have their good points. What is so effective about Cura Romana is that you lose weight, feel good and maintain the weight loss. It is not a quick fix but a new attitude and approach to eating and certainly I achieved my goal weight on the plan, something I have not managed to do before. An integral part of the plan is The Essential Spray. The program has been designed to work synergistically and I certainly found the spray made a substantial difference to retraining my appetite. If you want a healthy way to lose weight then this has been well thought out and researched.

Before beginning my Cura Romana Journey I was excited but not daring to hope that it would really work for me personally. I could see from the experience of others that it was genuinely effective but, of course, being at the time a pessimist, I was just bound to be the exception that proved the rule wasn't true. Still, I was hopeful enough that I was going to give it a go. In the end I lost 14 kilos. I can't recommend Cura Romana too much. It really is life-changing in so many ways. It represents freedom and the re-discovery of joy. It is a positive and very practical way to re-integrate ourselves physically, emotionally and spiritually. I believe so much damage is caused by poor advice, miss-messages and commercial exploitation. Cura Romana should be on offer in every GP's surgery and Well Woman clinic in the land. The word WILL spread!

Before beginning Cura Romana I was excited. I had some trepidation, too, as I'd been on many diet plans without long-term success. I was hungry the first week and then at odd moments throughout the program but I made myself drink more herbal tea, meditate, garden etc, and the hunger was managed. Two weeks into the program I felt an absolute knowing that this program would work. My body enjoyed the holiday. I felt extremely focused and self-empowered. I gained more confidence. I kept thanking my body for all that it's done for me in the last 55 years.

Leslie Kenton is a writer I trust - I have been inspired by her books for more than 20 years now. She explains quite touchingly that she has had issues around her weight since medical procedures in her teens left her with a faulty metabolism. She doesn't pretend to be a physician or a guru, but a fearlessly investigative journalist who needs help herself, so she explores the best options for health and weightloss and then writes a book about it for the rest of us. In "Cura Romana" she has found an amazing tool in the work of Dr Arthur Simeons who after many years of clinical research decided that the tendency to obesity was the product of a faulty system rather than just the result of gluttony, and worked out a program to cure it. What Leslie has done is synthesize this method, expand and bring it up to date, and, most importantly, hone the method for keeping the weight off for life. (Always the depressing issue for those of us who have yo-yo dieted for most of their adult lives.) I think this book is brilliant. The system works on everyone - me, in my 60s, now wearing size 14 jeans for the first time in 30 years, (gosh its great not to have to describe myself as a fat person anymore!) my husband, who was highly skeptical - a friend in our village who lost 2 stone in 42 days and looks wonderful, and her 30 year old son who did the same thing. Leslie Kenton's Cura Romana is much more than a diet book - it's a genuine tool for personal transformation. I'm only sorry her publisher puts a quote about it being a "craze" - it's far more important and profound than that. PS. How I wish it had been available 30 years ago!

I am grateful to Leslie and Aaron for this program. It has taught me to slow down and love my body right where I am today. It has taught me that goals and focus are great, but it's important that we enjoy the process. It has taught me that food is to be enjoyed. I know how to shift any further weight that I wish to lose. Instead of ignoring the scales as I did for so many years I look forward to my daily weight because I know I am now in control of where I want to be.

One of my friends paid me a massive compliment at college today. He said, 'Can I say, I've never seen you so radiant. You've lost weight, yes, and that's marvelous, but you seem to shine from within. As someone who has tried many diets over the years with varying degrees of success, I found the Cura Romana Journey very different from all of them. This time I lost the cravings and addictive eating behavior and they have never returned. Above all, I have learned to listen to and trust my body to tell me what it needs rather than relying on arbitrary rules. I feel an enormous sense of unity between body and spirit. Before doing Cura Romana I thought I was doing everything right with my diet and exercise program. However, I was still gaining weight. I know now that I was 'way off the mark'. I completed the diet under the Kenton's supervision about 20 months ago. After cortisone treatment for asthma about ten years ago, I gained some 30 pounds, and despite various diets was unable to lose the last fifteeen. With Cura Romana I shed those persistent pounds effortlessly. More importantly, I have kept them off without being 'on a diet'. My body has truly and remarkably changed to the extent that food cravings are gone and I eat healthy foods in smaller amounts, because that satisfies my appetite, and that is what I now enjoy. In the past, I suffered fibromyalgia and other aches and pains. These are all gone. My system is so sensitized, that when I eat something not good for me I get immediate symptoms. This makes it easy to recognize and avoid such foods, not because I'm on a diet but because I know they don't agree with me. My digestive problems are also past history. I have not only lost weight, but I lost inches in precisely the places where they were unattractive. For the first time in my life I don't shrink from seeing myself in a mirror. The positive side effects of this diet were sufficiently profound, that I would agree with the reviewer who called it transformational. I am firmly convinced that the Kenton's guidance throughout the entire process was critical to the results I achieved. The daily reporting, the comments, encouragement and answers to any questions I had were not only motivational but also allowed me to understand more deeply the feedback my body was giving me. I cannot recommend more highly taking advantage of the mentorship.

Thanks to this brilliant book, I've lost 25lbs since January 16. I've bought hundreds of books from Amazon over the years and this is the first time I've been moved to review anything. I was 14st 5lbs when I started and felt tired all the time - never seemed to have any energy and my zest for life was long gone. I was skeptical when I first read about this regime - it seemed a bit too far out there. But as nothing else seemed to work, and there were so many positive reviews on Amazon already, I thought I'd give it a proper go. I'm thrilled with the results. I didn't sign up for the support program on the Cura Romana website - I did it only using the book. There's quite a lot to get your head around but once you've read it, then re-read it so you understand exactly what you've got to do, it's easy as (eating) pie. Anyway, I found the explanations of the research behind the method, what I'd be doing and how it actually works helped to motivate me. But if you do buy the book, read it thoroughly and don't be tempted to skim passages or you might miss something crucial to the whole thing working properly. The best part is that you just follow the simple instructions about how to take the Essential Spray, and what to eat, and the program does exactly what Leslie & Aaron Kenton promises. Trust the research and go for it. Honestly, it's like the fat just melts away, but in all the right places. Five weeks ago, my stomach made me look six months pregnant - it's now virtually gone. I have a waist again! The normally hardest-to-budge fat is going. More pluses: my skin is fantastic, the dryness has gone. My hair and eyes are shining, nails strong, cuticles in good condition. Some annoying ailments have cleared up, e.g. joint pains in my hips and knees, stiff ankles in the mornings and also chronic hives, brought on by the temperature change every summer/winter for the past 10 years - gone. My energy levels are terrific, I'm sleeping well and the zest for life is back. I haven't felt this good for years. How can a way of eating that makes anyone feel - and look - so full of vitality be unhealthy? I'm only half way there. At more than 12 stones, I still need to lose weight - I'm in the consolidation phase just now but planning to do another round of Cura Romana in April.
