I lost all the weight I was hoping to lose in the first 23 days, yet I did not expect to find myself developing greater levels of compassion towards myself in the process. I found the program to be very manageable in unexpected ways - feeling guided and supported and gently becoming aware of my own deeper needs and a sense of self en route. On the program my skin was great. I had no adverse reactions except some initial tiredness. The hunger was never really an issue. My flow of physical energy was very good throughout. It was a time when I needed to work 13 hours a day with lots of physical work and I was fine. Occasionally I was hungry in a desiring way, but not as a sensation of lack of food. Emotionally I became very clear, not emotionally reactive, and I had an enhanced, clear perception of what my feelings were. Spiritually, because I had less to deal with physically and emotionally, I experienced a greater involvement in and gratitude for the present moment.

I have just finished the first 45 days of the Cura Romana program with excellent results, I have lost 31 pounds and I feel wonderful. I have tried every diet on the market but I have not felt as good as I have on this plan, both mentally and physically. My digestion has improved tremendously, I have so much more energy and I feel the best that I have in years. I cannot thank Leslie and Aaron enough for their continued support because I could not have done it without them. I am looking forward to the next step in the program to continue on this remarkable journey.

I have read this book and followed the Cura Romana Weight Loss Plan twice now, and I would highly recommend both. The program outlined in this book enables the body to burn off stored fat at an amazingly fast rate (on average a half pound a day for women and one pound a day for men.) More than that, however, it takes you on a journey of personal growth where you come to appreciate your body - dare I say like it? - and discover who you are at a deeper level. I'm in my mid 40s, and it helped me lose those stubborn extra 10 pounds and feel about 20 years younger. Aches and pains gone, skin radiant, energy levels soaring. I encourage anyone who has struggled with hopelessness around excess weight to pick up this book and discover the indescribable transformation that it can bring.

If you've ever despaired of being in control of your eating habits then I cannot recommend strongly enough that you try Cura Romana. Prior to my undertaking the Cura Romana program I was 42 pounds overweight and I often felt helpless and out of control, and despised myself for my lack of willpower when I was overcome by a craving for bread or pasta. Now, after losing 23 pounds and keeping it off, I feel much more respect for myself and I am proud of what I have achieved. I no longer have any food cravings, I no longer even enjoy bread and pasta, and I have absolutely no doubt that I will lose my remaining weight. Following Cura Romana was far easier than I could ever have imagined, and most importantly it's changed my relationship with food for ever. Don't take my word for it though, try it for yourself, you won't be disappointed.

This program is fantastic. I have been frightened to attempt weight loss in the past as I feared failing at it. I thought that Cura Romana seemed too good to be true but I'm so glad I followed the pull to do it. The program was easy to follow, incredibly effective, and with my new-found knowledge of the way my body works I continued to lose weight even throughout Consolidation. I loved the Consolidation program, the materials were fantastic and I refer to them on a regular basis. The recipes are great, especially the ones for linseed crackers which were a lifesaver. I still make them. My scales have now become my friends, after avoiding them the whole of my adult life. Leslie's support and all the resources she provided me with have been invaluable. I've been deliberately testing myself with some of the food items I used to really enjoy before undertaking Cura Roman, e.g. cheese scone, carrot cake, an occasional biscuit, 5-seed bread to name a few. I am over the moon to report that they no longer have any appeal whatsoever. I am no longer a "bread junky". After I tried the bread (which is the type of dense, real bread, full of seed that I used to really love and was convinced I would still enjoy), I threw the rest of the loaf out for the birds. And I had a bite of biscuit and threw the rest of them in the bin. It's almost unheard of for me to throw food out - 'think of the starving in Africa' is what I had drilled into me in childhood. My Cura Romana Journey really has changed my relationship to food forever and I am so happy. Also I am unable to eat the quantities that I used to eat. I am satisfied and full on a lot less. Another victory!

For me, the Cura Romana Journey was what I had been waiting for for a long time. It was the answer to a question I had put out in the universe and it was answered fully. It changed my perception of eating and taught me how precious, clever and technical my body was, as well as showing me that my body answers me - whatever I think or eat. We need to know what we are putting into our body. It is all we have, and we must look after it.

The program is much easier to follow than I thought it would be and it really works! I was a little skeptical to start with but soon became a total convert. Cura Romana has changed forever how I think and eat. I now enjoy my food immensely and don't deprive myself. If I eat something which doesn't agree with me I now have the tools to hand to put my body back in balance. I now enjoy my foods without the anxieties I had for so long about food before.

I am just coming to the end of my second Cura Romana journey and I'm 50 pounds lighter and healthier and more vital in every way. I completed the diet under the Kenton's supervision about 20 months ago. After cortisone treatment for asthma about ten years ago, I gained some 30 pounds, and despite various diets was unable to lose the last fifteeen. With Cura Romana I shed those persistent pounds effortlessly. More importantly, I have kept them off without being 'on a diet'. My body has truly and remarkably changed to the extent that food cravings are gone and I eat healthy foods in smaller amounts, because that satisfies my appetite, and that is what I now enjoy. In the past, I suffered fibromyalgia and other aches and pains. These are all gone. My system is so sensitized, that when I eat something not good for me I get immediate symptoms. This makes it easy to recognize and avoid such foods, not because I'm on a diet but because I know they don't agree with me. My digestive problems are also past history. I have not only lost weight, but I lost inches in precisely the places where they were unattractive. For the first time in my life I don't shrink from seeing myself in a mirror.
